The location next to the gentle stream of the river was breathtaking. The hotel facilities were impressive, with a wonderful open-air onsen to relax in. The breakfast provided was delicious, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.
Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

The hot springs at this hotel were a highlight of our New Year's trip. The onsen was well-maintained and the private tub was a great option. The location was also perfect, with easy access to hiking trails and local shops. Plus, the shuttle service from the train station saved us a lot of hassle.
The food wasn't great. The breakfast buffet lacked variety and the dinner was overpriced for the quality.

This hot spring hotel offers comfortable rooms that peacefully overlook a rushing river on a cliff. Perfect location for hiking Kakusenkei walking path. the minimalist decor and comfortable futtons make for a cozy retreat. the Japanese-style meals are filling and made from fresh ingredients.
The English-speaking staff are scarce and the hotel is lacking in maintainance, particularly with regards to the carpets and bathrooms.

Great view of the mountains and river. Beautiful outdoor pool with hot springs. the food was delicious, with a lot of local ingredients and fresh seafood. the hotel is located near a quaint town with a lot of shops and restaurants. the staff was very friendly and accommodating, despite the language barrier.
The rooms were small and cramped. We barely had enough room for our luggage, let alone to move around comfortably.
